luckily, i had my camera with me...

there we were, just minding our business, when daniel hollers "snowball!". the girls couldn't ignore that and they were off.
daniel's mom and i just laughed and watched the kids run around.

of course, there isn't a lot of snow, so they made pretty small snowballs.

there are benefits to being one of last people to leave church, other wise they couldn't have had as much fun.
dance and choir for the girls was cancelled this afternoon, so we stopped by lowes on our way home and got some more firewood and those log thingers. i am more than capable of carrying a bundle of firewood and a box of firelogs, but the lowes guy took the box from me and carried it. i think he looked at my heels and thought "liability!". he even walked us out, which was quite nice of him and excellent customer service.
bring on the marshmallows!

lunch

today after church, my sunday school class met for lunch. it was quite an adventure, as there were 16 of us (grown ups and kids). we took up half of the restaurant (but in all fairness, capriccio's is a small place). good times!
the girls ate a ton of pasta and then lillian tried to buy my sunday school teacher's son. She offered 29 (what, i don't know) and said that she wanted him to come home with her and be her baby brother. um, no, no, and no! right, and he's 3, so not so much a baby anymore. i can't wait to see what she does on tuesday when she sees him at the preschool :)

mollywobbles!

mom and dad have a new kitten...her name is molly. last weekend simon and i drove over to meet her.
molly was not very impressed with simon. she learned early on, though, that the gate is her friend. after that, she liked to sit in front of the gate until simon got fussed at for barking.

we met jenny and her people in macon and spent the day at the museum of art and science
it was interesting. there were musical stairs, vintage toys, weirdo art, a bunch of tamarins, three snakes, two planetarium shows (i slept through the second show, so don't ask what it was about), and a partridge in a pear tree. the art section of the museum is a place for kids to create, not so much a place of fine paintings hanging on the walls. and full of weirdos...
oh wait...i'm related to those weirdos!

it was a great weekend and it certainly beat sitting at home, missing the girls!
