i always thought that the whole "parents embarrassing their children" thing expired when you became an adult. i was so wrong! dad and i took our vehicles to be inspected saturday morning. as the inspector guy was finishing up, dad looks at me and says "we'll go home the blah blah blah way and i will buy you a tank of gas at the kroger." i smiled and said thanks and the inspector guy says "what a nice dad!" or something to that effect and my dad looks at him and says "how do you know i'm her dad? she could be my mistress!" oh my heck! dad? are you serious?? i covered my face with my hands...the inspector guy wouldn't make eye contact with me anymore...dad is just standing there, laughing. the guy says "that's a good one sir." i am so very glad that i do not live in georgia.

i was called a pagan

my rock collection has grown. for a while i was lining them up, then i started grouping them. the other day, i decided to put them in a circle. i was called a pagan. heh...

i'm sad, though, because today they are gone. my boss said that she overheard conversations today about how awful it was having a stone circle there on the first day of spring.

they have been playing and watching tv. only one friend was able to come, but kaely does not seem too upset by that.

we made pizza.

laugh all you like at the cake...my decorator tips didn't fit the frosting tube :( but kaely is pleased...

so the eggs have all been hunted. i had the girls put one hand behind their back...to make it slightly more challenging.

then we had a "worst singing ever" contest while we sang happy birthday to kaely. i think i won that :)

woohoo! everyone was asleep before midnight :) now they are waking up slowly. breakfast hasn't even been mentioned...

Today, with great excitement, Lillian handed me a small collection of rocks. She said, "Now you have a rock collection, Mommy!" And how could I not display my new collection? So there it is...on my desk :)
