Lunch at the Gristmill in Gruene,TX :)

a seriously peaceful place to eat lunch. we sat and listened to the shrieking in the river below and that's when we decided that we wanted to do that too...nature and all.

oldest bar/dance hall/country dancing joint in the state. it smelled old.

this guy was directing traffic and shouting all the sarcastic things that we all wish we could say to other drivers. he's like the super hero of traffic directors or something.

First stop in San Antonio...of course. Then we were off to Riverwalk and Casa Rio.

had to go see the alamo...awesome place.i tried to blend in with the other tourists, but liz found me anyway.

lunch was deelish. i'm quite sure that i remember eating here before, even though i was a wee one at the time. mom doesn't believe me, but how can you forget the umbrellas?

i multi-tasked during lunch and figgered out how to blog from the phone :) for a brief time, my blog address was "boyhat"something or other...heh.

i'm fixin' to go to texas...by way of cincinnati. can't wait to see you liz! :)

oh look! there is a petting zoo in front of the school. all the kids got to go out and see the animals and that lady did not mess around. she ran a tight ship...set up, kids through, cleaned up and out of there in about 2 hours. the only evidence of her visit was the pile of poop.

sigh...now the girls are with their dad in florida. can't wait until they come home!
